The new Súpa Grúpa - CUAN

Feile Oriel are delighted to welcome Cuan to Monaghan as the support act to two musical legends Tim Edey & Donald Shaw.

Winners of the prestigious title of Fiddler of London Trad Group 2024 Cuan (formally known as Sult!) were chosen for their exceptional talent, creativity, and passion for Irish traditional music.

From Tipperary and Limerick, Cuan comprises a talented ensemble including Laoise and Clodagh Kennedy, Cathal Slattery, Caithlin McGrath, Aoife Ní Chonghaile, and Louis Murphy. Under the adept guidance of musical director, Naomi Corcoran (Morrissey), these young musicians have demonstrated remarkable dedication and skill, earning them this well- deserved victory. They are proud to play a variety of traditional tunes from the region, along with some newly composed tunes, fusing the old with the new in their arrangements.

Cuan will lead the mega session on Sunday night in the Westenra Hotel, hub of Feile Oriel. It promises to be a high-octane sensational musical experience following a much anticapated Capercaillie concert ealier that evening in the same hotel.
