The Mullan Fiddler of Oriel Junior compeitions 2025
Come and enjoy the cream of Irish trad fiddling amongst our teenagers. This is our first year having an under 15 category. The weekend will also serve as a melting pot for all these young musucians to connect and to share their musical styles. The same ticket is valid for both competitions but are non transferable.
11am: Under-15 competition finals
1.30pm: 15-18 competition finals

Peter Street
Peter Street, the new “Young Guns” and must-see group featuring John Paul Reynolds (fiddle), Keelan McGrath (box), Simon Crehan (guitar) and Fionn O Hanlon (bouzouki) will hit the main stage on Saturday, May 3rd.
This will be their first outing in this part of Ireland and a much-anticipated event.
We expect a capacity crowd which will attract their dedicated fans from all across the country.

We welcome two of our most celebrated Monaghan fiddlers to Féile Oriel 2025.
Donál McCague will host a workshop entitled “A Flavour of Monaghan tunes”. This is open to fiddlers of all ages.
We are delighted to welcome back Laura Beagon from Mayo to her hometown of Monaghan. She will host the advanced fiddle workshop.
Cost for each workshop is €15 per person.

The Elders of Fiddling And The Mullan Fiddler of Oriel Senior Final
This will be a very hotly contested Mullan Senior Fiddler of Oriel final. Along with the wonderful Mullan trophy the senior winner this year his/her way to the USA to particapte and perform at Milwaukee Irish festival. They will also get to experience the city of Chicago and a night in Chief O Neills where he/she will be the special guest at their famous Sunday sessions.
For the third year running we welcome our 2025 supremo fiddlers from accoss the four provinces, UK and USA. This is a unique celebration of the gatekeepers of our traditional fiddle culture and heritage. Please see website to find out the six recipients.

Headlining Féile Oriel 2025 is the high-octane Bow Brothers, an extraordinary ensemble of some of the most celebrated and influential musicians in the world of traditional Irish music.
The group comprises six distinguished musicians: Cathal Hayden, Stephen Hayden, Niall Murphy, Jim Higgins, Seamie O’Dowd, and Brian McGrath – each of whom has made a significant contribution to the world of Irish music, both as solo performers and as part of iconic bands.
